Effective October 6, 2015, Establishment A-15, Cluny Colony Egg Grading Facility, no longer holds a registration under the Egg Regulations.

September 8, 2015, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the federal registration of Establishment A-15, Cluny Colony Egg Grading Facility in Cluny, AB, effective September 2, 2015.

The CFIA has determined that sanitation and general building maintenance are not being reliably implemented in the facility as required by the Egg Regulations. The company has failed to correct deficiencies previously identified through CFIA inspections.

Cluny Colony Egg Grading Facility will not be able to resume operations as a federally registered establishment until it has fully implemented the necessary corrective actions and the CFIA is confident in the facility's capacity to effectively manage food safety risks.

Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended or cancelled for failure to comply with relevant CFIA Acts and Regulations. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions and cancellations on its web site.
