CFIA revokes the Certificate of Registration #0667 of TFI Foods Ltd.
July 15, 2016, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has revoked the certificate of registration #0667 of TFI Foods Ltd., effective July 7, 2016. The company is located in Scarborough, Ontario.
The company's registration was revoked because infractions were identified during a follow-up inspection related to the suspension of the registration on August 7, 2015.
The company failed to implement the corrective action plans submitted to the CFIA, resulting in non-compliance with the Fish Inspection Regulations.
There is no recall associated with this revocation.
The company may not process fish for interprovincial or international export without a certificate of registration.
A request to reinstate a registration must be made, in writing, within 30 days. To be approved, the operator must implement the required corrective actions within 60 days, following the day on which the certificate of registration was revoked.
Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended, cancelled, revoked, or refused renewal for failure to comply with relevant Acts and Regulations administered and enforced by the CFIA. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions and cancellations and revocations on its web site.
