Electronic service delivery platform

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is in the early stages of assessing the business and related infrastructure requirements to build a secure electronic platform to provide better access to agency services and to share information more effectively with stakeholders and partners.

One component of this platform will be to allow industry to query and apply for export certificates online and to allow the CFIA to exchange certificates and related documents securely with importing countries. This will facilitate the necessary approval for Canadian commodities to enter foreign countries.
