Service Standard for the Issuance of Permits, Licences and Export Certificates

Annual import permitsFootnote 1, product licencesFootnote 1, establishment licencesFootnote 1, export certificates, permits to import veterinary Biologics for investigational or emergency use.

Performance Target

The target for renewing annual import permitsFootnote 1, product licencesFootnote 1 and establishment licencesFootnote 1 is that the renewal will be done before the expiry date if the renewal application is received at least two weeks prior to expiry.

The target for issuing export certificates or permits to import veterinary biologics for investigational or emergency use is two weeks from receiving completed application, fees and supporting documentation.

Performance Results

In 2016-17, the Agency:

  • Renewed 100% of the Annual import permits, Product Licences and Establishment Licences within the service standard.
  • Renewed 99% of the 115 Export certificates, and 96% of the 191 permits for emergency use or for investigational use within the service standard.

In 2015-16:

The Agency renewed 100% of the annual import permitsFootnote 1, product licencesFootnote 1 and establishment licencesFootnote 1 within the service standard.

The Agency processed applications for 99% of the 116 export certificates, and 90% of 230 permits for emergency use or for investigational use within the service standard.

In 2014-15:

The Agency renewed 100% of the annual import permitsFootnote 1, product licencesFootnote 1 and establishment licencesFootnote 1 within the service standard.

The Agency processed applications for 97% of the 132 export certificates, 95% of 62 permits to import veterinary biologics for investigational use, and 96% of 250 permits for emergency use within the service standard.

In 2013-14:

The Agency renewed 100% of the annual import permitsFootnote 1, product licencesFootnote 1 and establishment licencesFootnote 1 within the service standard.

The Agency processed 100% of the applications for export certificates and permits to import veterinary biologics for investigational or emergency use within the service standard.
