Allergy Alert - Undeclared gluten in Haldiram's Nagpur brand Gulab Jamun Indian Sweets
Ottawa, April 8, 2011 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Quality Natural Foods Ltd. are warning people with allergies to gluten not to consume Haldiram's Nagpur brand Gulab Jamun Indian Sweets. The affected products contain gluten which is not declared on the label.

These products have been distributed nationally.
There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to gluten.
The importer, Quality Natural Foods Ltd., Scarborough, Ontario is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
