Ottawa, June 3, 2011 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Gagan Foods International Ltd. are warning people with allergies to wheat or sulphites not to consume the various snacks and deserts described below. The affected products contain wheat or sulphites which are not declared on the label.

All codes of the following snacks and desserts are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

There have been no reported allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to wheat and sulphites.

The importer, Gagan Foods International Ltd., Delta, British Columbia is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recalls.
