Ottawa, June 7, 2011 - The public warning issued on June 3, 2011 has been expanded to include additional distribution information. The affected product was also sold in Alberta and Manitoba.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to peanuts not to consume Jasmine Foods brand Tahini ("Grounded" Sesame). The affected product contains peanuts which are not declared on the label.
The following sizes and codes of Jasmine Foods brand Tahini ("Grounded" Sesame), are affected by this alert:

Jasmine Mediterranean Foods Ltd, Vancouver, BC, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
