VICTORIA, B.C. - Thrifty Foods is warning the public not to consume ground beef products described below as these products may contain small pieces of metal and plastic.
The following Ground Beef Products, with the best before date of August 11, 2011 only are affected by this alert.

These products were sold at Thrifty Foods, Store #8-Colwood, 1860 Island Highway, Victoria, British Columbia only.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Thrifty Foods Colwood is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace.
Customers may return any affected ground beef products to any Thrifty Foods location for a full refund.
