Ottawa, March 5, 2012 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to milk not to consume certain Red Square brand Real Deal Energy Cookies described below. The affected product contains milk which is not declared on the label.

The affected product, Red Square brand Real Deal Energy Cookie - Oatmeal, Flax & Raisin, is sold in a 650 g (8 bar) package bearing UPC 7 75461 76104 2 and one of the following lot codes: 35520.11 or 36120.11.

This product has been distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
