The following allergy alert was issued to the media on October 19, 2012 on behalf of Rich Products of Canada, Limited.

Fort Erie, Ontario, October 19, 2012 - The allergy alert issued on October 16, 2012 has been updated to correct the affected dates / lot codes of the products and to include expanded distribution.

Rich Products of Canada, Limited of Fort Erie, Ontario, is warning consumers not to consume the Dorgel and Farmboy® products described below because they contain ALMONDS which are not declared on the label.

The affected Dorgel products are described below and are distributed to food retailers in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia, however, they may have been distributed in other provinces across Canada. The affected Farmboy® 700 ml Hazelnut Gelato product listed below has "best before" date of November 29, 2012, and is distributed to food retailers in Ontario, Canada.

The affected products may cause serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to ALMONDS.

There have been no reported illnesses or complaints associated with the consumption of these products.

The manufacturer, Rich Products of Canada, Limited, Fort Erie, Ontario is voluntarily recalling them from the market and the CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of that recall.
