Certification requirements for China
(People's Republic of)
The following certificates are available:
- Aquatic Animal Health Certificate for the Export of Wild Caught Eels (Anguilla species) to China for the Purpose of Aquaculture (AQAH-1017)
- Veterinary Health Certificate for the Export of Crustacean Chitin to China (AQAH-1005)
- Aquatic Animal Health Certificate for the Export of Finfish Eyed Eggs for Aquaculture Purposes from Canada to the People's Republic of China (AQAH-1042)
Important Notes:
- The People's Republic of China has aquatic animal health requirements for imports of certain live aquatic animals for aquaculture and ornamental display. Canada is currently in negotiation with China for export certification of live aquatic animals for purposes of ornamental display. For this specific commodity, until such time as a negotiated certificate is available, shipments exported without an aquatic animal health certificate may be detained in China.
- There may be existing certificates or additional information from the Fish and Seafood program. However, for the specific commodities above, an aquatic animal health certificate is required.
