Certification requirements for Colombia
The following certificate is available:
- Veterinary Health Certificate for the Export of Live Crustaceans from Canada to Colombia (AQAH-1001)
Important Notes:
- Currently only live Atlantic lobster (Homarus americanus) are eligible for shipment using this certificate (AQAH-1001).
- Columbia has aquatic animal health requirements for imports of certain live aquatic animals and fish and seafood products.
- Canada is currently in negotiation with Columbia for export certification of live molluscs intended for human consumption. For this specific commodity, until such time as a negotiated certificate is available, shipments exported without an aquatic animal health certificate may be detained in Columbia.
- There may be existing certificates or additional information from the Fish and Seafood program (Export Information By Jurisdiction). However, for the specific commodities above, an aquatic animal health certificate is required.
