  1. BACIFERM-PB-50 contains zinc bacitracin at 82.5 g/kg and procaine penicillin G at 27.5 g/kg (Cyanamid Canada Inc.)

Approved for use

In meal or pellet feeds for chickens and swine.

Approved claims

For swine - Claim 2, 3


Claim 1: For the reduction of early mortality in chicks.

Level of Drug:

82.5 mg/kg (0.00825%) bacitracin from zinc bacitracin and 27.5 mg/kg (0.00275%) penicillin from procaine penicillin in the complete feed.

Directions:

Feed this medicated feed as the sole ration for 5-15 days.

Warning:

Do not feed to laying or breeding chickens.

Caution:

  1. Do not use in feeds containing bentonite or other pellet binding agents. (Required on supplement and premix labels only).

Claim 2: As an aid in the prevention of Bacterial Enteritis (Scours) (except Coliform Diarrhoea in young pigs) in swine.

Level of Drug:

41.2 mg/kg (0.00412%) of bacitracin from zinc bacitracin and 13.8 mg/kg (0.00138%) of penicillin from procaine penicillin in the complete feed.

Directions:

Feed this medicated feed as the sole ration.

Caution:

  1. Do not use in feeds containing bentonite or other pellet binding agents. (Required on supplement and premix labels only).

Claim 3: As an aid in the treatment of Bacterial Enteritis (Scours) (except Coliform Diarrhoea in young pigs) in swine.
