Approved claims
For swine starter feeds - Claim 1
Note:
This drug mixture is not be be used in grower or finisher rations except on the basis of a veterinary prescription.
Claim 1: For the prevention of Swine Pneumonia caused by bacterial pathogens (Pasteurella multocida and/or Arcanobacterium (Actinomyces, Corynebacterium) pyogenes) sensitive to tylosin and/or sulfamethazine.
Level of Drug:
a) Tylosin - 110 mg/kg (0.011%) , and
b) Sulfamethazine - 110 mg/kg (0.011%) in the complete feed.
Directions:
Feed this medicated feed continuously as the sole ration to starter pigs for 28 days.
Warning:
- Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 10 days after the latest treatment with this drug.
Caution:
- IMPORTANT: Must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use (required on premix and supplement labels only).
- Do not use in feeds containing pellet binding agents with the exception of Basfin and Lignosol (required on premix and supplement labels only).
