OTTAWA, June 4, 2011 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Nonuttin’ Foods Inc. are warning people with allergies to sesame not to consume the Nonuttin’ brand products described below. The affected products may contain sesame which is not declared on the label.
The following products, bearing a Best Before date up to and including May 31, 2012, are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed nationally.
There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to sesame.
The manufacturer, Nonuttin’ Foods Inc., Duncan, BC, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace.
The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recalls.
