ALLERGY ALERT
UNDECLARED MILK IN INDIGOSWEETS BRAND DARK CHOCOLATE SPONGE TOFFEE
OTTAWA, June 23, 2011 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Indigo Books & Music Inc. are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume Indigosweets brand Dark Chocolate Sponge Toffee. The affected product may contain milk which is not declared on the label.
Indigosweets brand Dark Chocolate Sponge Toffee is sold in a 140 g. package, bearing UPC 8 82709 02537 5. All Best Before date codes are affected.
This product has been distributed nationally.
There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
Indigo Books & Music Inc., Toronto, ON, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
