I wish to advise you that the import of this meat product is in contravention of the Meat Inspection Act, Statutes of Canada, 1985, c. 17 and Regulations made thereunder, and in particular (state substance of violation and provision of Act and/or Regulations that have been contravened).
Therefore, pursuant to subsection 18(1) of the Meat Inspection Act, I require you to remove from Canada the said meat product within the period of 90 days after delivery of this Notice.
If the meat product is not removed from Canada as required by this Notice, it shall be forfeited to Her Majesty in right of Canada and may be disposed of as the Minister may direct, at your expense, in accordance with subsection 18(2) of the Meat Inspection Act.
Please contact the undersigned at KEYBOARD(Phone Number of Inspector) and advise as to the mode of transport and date of exit out of Canada for the meat product to assure compliance with this Notice and clearance at the point of embarcation.
