11.7.3 LEBANON

11.7.3.1 General information

The export certificate is valid for 15 days which means that the consignment must leave Canada within 15 days after the date of certification. If the consignment is not exported within 15 days, the exporter will have to submit a new application for export certification (Annex H). The expired certificate will be voided and a new certificate issued, if the product is in conformity with importing country requirements.

The competent Lebanese authorities insist on having the certificates of inspection accompany the meat products exported to Lebanon for presentation to the responsible officers at the border.

In the case of failure to follow this procedure, the products will be refused entry into the country.

11.7.3.4 Additional certification

In the case of beef, annex A of this section and annex A of the introduction (certificate in relation to radioactivity) must be issued.
