National Import Service Centre (NISC) – Communiqué

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) Eastern Import Service Centre (EISC), located in Anjou, Quebec, is transitioning from a service centre that serves Eastern Canada and Quebec to a satellite office, the National Import Service Centre Satellite Office (NSO) that will support the National Import Service Centre (NISC) in Toronto and serve all of Canada. The operational and service procedures for Importers, Brokers and Stakeholders will remain the same.

The transition began on February 1, 2011 and will formally be in place as of April 1, 2011.

The hours of operation are as follows:

NISC: The NISC will be open Monday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. EST

NSO: The NSO will be open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. EST
