Proactive Disclosure
Invasive species are non-native plants, animals and micro-organisms that
spread when introduced outside of their natural distribution and cause serious
and often irreversible damage to Canada’s ecosystems, economy and
society.
Preventing and managing invasive species will strengthen Canada's
long-term competitiveness, protect its natural environment, and contribute to
the well-being of its citizens.
