The ray florets are white and the disc florets are yellow orange.

Origin & Breeding History: 'V971-0' originated from a conventional breeding program which was carried out at The University of Sydney Plant Breeding Institute Cobbitty (PBIC), New South Wales, Australia in April of 1997. 'V971-0' resulted from crossing 'DX97.12.4' and 'DX97.12.8' (the parents of 'DX97.12' were 'Sunny' and 'Snow'), two selections from The University of Sydney Shasta Daisy breeding program. F1 seed was planted in 1998 and the F1 plants were transplanted in the field for selection at PBIC. 'V971-0' was selected based on its short flowering stems and anemone type flowers.

Tests & Trials: The test and trial for 'V971-0' was conducted in a polyhouse during the summer of 2005 at Variety Rights Management in Oxford Station, Ontario. The trial included 10 plants of each variety. The plants were grown in 10 cm pots spaced 30 cm apart. All colour characteristics were determined using the 2001 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) colour chart and measured characteristics were based on ten plant measurements.
