Origin & Breeding History: 'Sheegene 3' is the result of a hybrization, between the female parent 'Red Globe' and the male parent 'Princess', conducted in the late spring of 2000 in Fowler, California, USA. Selection was based on berry size, the seedless characteristic and berry ripening time. 'Sheegene 3' was originally asexually propagated in the dormant season of 2003-2004, grafted onto 'Harmony' grape rootstock and planted in a variety block near Fowler, California.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Sheegene 3' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20084843, purchased from the Oficina Española de Variedades Vegetales in Madrid, Spain. The trial was conducted by the Centro de Ensayos de Evaluación de Variedades, Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Technologia Agraria y Ailmentaria, Murcia, Spain, from 2010 to 2013.
