Origin & Breeding History: 'Anouk Deluxe 901' is a product of a planned breeding program conducted by the breeder, Lammert Koning, in Nuis, Netherlands. It originated from a controlled cross conducted in August 2006, in Nuis, between the Lavandula stoechas variety 'Anouk', as the female parent, and the Lavandula stoechas hybrid designated 'L.722', as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, 'Anouk Deluxe 901' was selected in 2008, in Nuis, for its compact plant growth habit. 'Anouk Deluxe 901' was first propagated by vegetative cuttings in September 2009, in De Lier, Netherlands.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Anouk Deluxe 901' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2013/1634, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Groupe d'Étude et de contrôle des Variétés Et des Semences, in Cavaillon, France, from 2014 to 2015. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
