Origin & Breeding History: 'Fisroccal' (breeder designation 'Fit 555') originated from a hybridization conducted in Hillscheid, Germany in 2000. The female parent was variety 'FIP 440' with orange flowers and vigorous plant growth habit and the male parent was variety 'Nobila' with orange flowers and medium plant size. The first selection occurred in Galdar, Gran Canaria, Spain in 2001and in 2002, cuttings from the selected seedling were taken back to Hillscheid for further selection and trial cultivation. 'Fisroccal' was selected for its flower colour and inflorescence size in combination with vigorous plant growth.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, grant number PEL 1983, purchased from the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany. The trials were conducted in 2005. All colour characteristics were determined using the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart, 2001 edition.
