Variety used for comparison: 'Allrounder'

Summary: The intensity of green colour on the upper side of the leaf blade is medium to dark for 'Hattrick' whereas the intensity is medium for 'Allrounder'. The stalk cavity of the fruit is shallow to medium depth for 'Hattrick' whereas the stalk cavity of the fruit is shallow for 'Allrounder'.

Description:

SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present

PLANT: medium height, no shortened internodes in upper part, medium length of internodes on primary side shoots
STEM: short to medium length, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of nodes, sparse to medium density of hairiness of nodes

LEAF BLADE: medium to long, medium to broad, medium to dark green on upper side, ovate shape, medium degree of undulation of margin, medium to strong blistering, moderately concave profile in cross-section, weak to medium degree of glossiness on upper side

FLOWERING: begins mid-season to late
PEDUNCLE: semi-drooping attitude
FLOWER: anthocyanin colouration of anther present

Origin & Breeding History: 'Hattrick' (breeder designation 35-243 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted in June 2011, in De Lier, Netherlands. From the resulting progeny, 'Hattrick' was selected in September 2012 for its plant vigour, fruit quality, yield, and resistance to Tabomavirus pathotypes P0, P1, P1-2 and P1-2-3.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Hattrick' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS1550, purchased from Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands, in 2015.
