Description:

PLANT: semi-upright growth habit, many to very many current season's canes, bears fruit on previous season's cane in summer and on current season's cane in autumn, mid-season vegetative bud burst

VERY YOUNG SHOOT: weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of apex during rapid growth, early season emergence

FRUITING LATERAL: semi-erect attitude, medium to long
CURRENT SEASON`S CANE: long to very long, strong bloom, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration, short to medium length internode, short to medium length vegetative bud
DORMANT CANE: long to very long, purplish brown
SPINES: sparse to medium density, medium sized base, medium length, brownish purple

LEAF: medium green upper side, predominantly five leaflets, medium rugosity, relative position of lateral leaflets is touching
LEAFLET: straight in cross-section
TERMINAL LEAFLET: long, medium to broad

FLOWERING: begins mid-season on previous season's cane and early to mid-season on current season's cane
PEDUNCLE: very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration

Origin & Breeding History: 'DrisRaspThirteen' originated from a controlled cross conducted between the proprietary varieties 'DrisRaspThree' (female parent) and 'RA101.1' (male parent) in Santa Cruz, California, United States in April 1998. A single seedling of 'DrisRaspThirteen' was selected in June 2010 based on its fruit size and yield. 'DrisRaspThirteen' was initially asexually propagated by tissue culture at a nursery in Santa Cruz, California in 2010. Further propagation and testing continued in Santa Cruz, California over six years, from 2010 to 2015.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'DrisRaspThirteen' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20172702, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2019 and 2020.
