There were 160 seedlings selected from the resultant progeny based on flower colour and foliage health. The seedlings were evaluated in a greenhouse trials in Stuttgart and assessed for branching, flower colour, flower time and growth habit. Outdoor trials were conducted to assess flower abundance, growth habit and tolerance to weather conditions. One of the seedlings was selected for commercialization and named 'KLEBB08392'.

Tests & Trials: Trials for 'KLEBB08392' were conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2010 in St. Thomas, Ontario. Trials included 15 plants each of the candidate and reference varieties. Rooted cuttings were transplanted into 12 cm pots on June 3, 2010. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants of each variety on June 15, 2010. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
