'KLESU03187' was selected based on its flower colour, flower size and early flowering time. It was evaluated in greenhouse and outdoor trials in Stuttgart, Germany in 2002. Greenhouse trials were conducted to evaluate rooting performance, speed and uniformity of growth, plant growth habit and earliness of flowering. Outdoor trials were conducted to evaluate the length of the flowering period and resistance to disease and weather conditions.

Tests & Trials: The tests and trials for 'KLESU03187' were conducted in a polyhouse during the spring and summer of 2005 in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial consisted of 15 plants of each variety. The plants were grown from rooted cuttings and transplanted into 15 cm pots on April 28th, 2005. All colour characteristics were determined using the 2001 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) colour chart.
