Figure 2.4: Total Agricultural Applications and Rights Granted

Figure 2.4 illustrates the total number of applications and rights granted for agricultural crop kinds, from 1992 to 2000. The chart shows an upward trend in new applications until 1996 when the number received levelled off at approximately 80 - 100 per year. There were 14 new applications filed in 1992 and 83 in 2000. There were 6 grants of rights in 1993 and 51 in 2000.
