Cereal Leaf Beetle has been established in Eastern Canada since the 1960s, and in British Columbia within the Regional Districts of East and Central Kootenay since 2002. In 2005, CLB was positively identified in Alberta in both the Municipal District of Taber and the County of Lethbridge. In 2007, CLB was identified in seven additional counties/municipalities in southern Alberta.
