Figure 2 - Current climate limiting factors
This map depicts the factors that limit the survival rate of the blueberry
maggot within the climate range. The limiting factors are the following:
- In the U.S south and the south of
Québec and Ontario, maximum temperature during the driest months is a
limiting factor. This region of the U.S. includes most of the blueberry maggot
sites.
- Along the north and south shore of the St.
Lawrence River, the temperature seasonality, the temperature annual range and
the isothermality are limiting factors.
- La Route Bleue region is outside of the suitable climate range for the
pest.
