When you should expect a reply

The CFIA responds to all questions, reports and concerns. Generally, you can usually expect a response within 2 to 3 business days. When you receive a reply may vary depending on the type of question and our current work volume.

More detailed questions, for example, questions that need interpretation of regulations or policies, may take up to 20 business days for a response.

This means that you will be informed of the purpose for which it is being collected and how to exercise your right of access to that information.
