The processor has a program in place to ensure that packaging materials are received and stored in an acceptable manner (refer to Task Transportation and Storage Program). All packaging materials are received and stored in a clean and sanitary manner to minimize the risk of contamination and physical damage to the materials. The handling and loading of the packaging materials from the time they are received into the processing area and when they are in use does not pose a contamination risk (refer to Task Handling of Materials).

All ESL pasteurized products must be stored continuously under refrigeration at a temperature of 4°C or less.
