Eligible
- Fish oil derived from finfish and crustaceans (does not include seal oil)
- Live lobsters for human consumptionFootnote 1
Pre-export approvals by competent authority of importing country
Establishments
For fish oil:
- Establishments in Canada must be audited and approved by the foreign competent authority before they can be eligible to export their products to Argentina
- Exporters must appear on the List of authorized exporters of fish oil to Argentina
For live lobsters:
- No Canadian exporters of live lobster are currently authorized to export to ArgentinaFootnote 1
Products
For fish oil
- Exporters must ensure their product is registered with Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (SENASA), specifically the Dirección de Agroquímicos, Productos Farmacológicos y Veterinarios (Agrochemicals and Pharmacological and Veterinary Products Directorate)
- Exporters must ensure their importers have a valid import authorization for the product issued by the Coordinación de Importación de Productos (Product Importation Coordination Office), an operating area of the International Traffic Office, both of which report to the Quarantines, Borders and Certifications Coordination Office. Import authorizations are valid for a period of 1 year
For live lobsters
- No Canadian exporters of live lobster are currently authorized to export to ArgentinaFootnote 1

For fish oil
- Regulatory values for fish oil exported to Argentina
- According to SENASA, the product must meet regulatory requirements under Regulation – Decree 4238/68, Chapter XXIII (23), Fishery Products
For live lobsters
- The current Argentinian regulations regarding live lobsters are not known

Certificate
For Fish oil:
- Sanitary Certificate Covering for Fish and Fishery Products (CFIA/ACIA 5898 (2020/08))

Live lobsters
- Aquatic animal health and sanitary certificate for the export of live lobsters (Homarus americanus) for human consumption from Canada to Argentina (AQAH-1015)
