The common name must appear on the principal display panel of processed egg products. Section12(4) of the PER includes additional specifications regarding the type size of the common name requirement. See Legibility for minimum type size requirements and Common Name for more information.

Dried Egg Albumen

Dried egg albumen is standardized in section B.22.036 of the Food and Drug Regulations, where both "dried egg-white" and "dried albumen" appear in bold face type. Names appearing in bold face type are prescribed common names that must be used for labelling purposes.
