D- 94-02: REPEALED - Certification of apples for export for the presence of Apple Maggot, Rhagoletis pomonella (Walsh)

Directive D-94-02, Certification of apples for export for the presence of apple maggot, Rhagoletis pomonella (Walsh), describes an alternative to cold storage treatment for the export certification of apples to countries with phytosanitary restrictions for apple maggot. New scientific research indicates this alternative certification approach is no longer valid. The CFIA will determine and carry out inspection and certification procedures for Rhagoletis pomonella based on the import requirements of individual importing countries.

As such, D-94-02 is repealed.
