Sirex noctilio F. - Sirex Wasp
The preferred hosts of S. noctilio are pine (Pinus) species, especially Monterey Pine (Pinus radiata). The insect will also attack spruce (Picea), fir (Abies), and larch (Larix) species as well as Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga ).
