Effective January 22, 2018, the registration of Establishment 0191, Les Produits S & G Products Inc., was reinstated and the company was allowed to resume operations under ongoing inspection by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
November 22, 2017, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the registration of Establishment 0191, Les Produits S & G Products Inc., effective November 20, 2017. The vegetable processing establishment is located in Sainte-Sophie, Quebec.
The establishment did not implement the required corrective measures in the prescribed time frame under the Processed Products Regulations. The corrective measures included a policy on glass breakage, Good Manufacturing Practices and record keeping.
There is no recall associated with this suspension.
The operator cannot resume operations until the CFIA determines that the required corrective measures have been taken.
Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments can be suspended, cancelled or refused renewal for failure to comply with the relevant CFIA acts and regulations. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions and cancellations on its website.
