Proposed document to be incorporated by reference – Tables of Nutrient Guarantees and Conditions for Feed Labels

This document was part of a consultation on proposed changes to the Feeds Regulations, which ran from June 12, 2021 to October 15, 2021. This consultation is now closed.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is proposing the Tables of Nutrient Guarantees and Conditions for Feed Labels to be incorporated by reference (IbR) into the proposed Feeds Regulations, 2022.

This IbR document describes the different types of feeds (for example, complete feed, supplement, etc.) and the guarantees that are to be placed on label for each particular feed type.

This is a new IbR document, however it is based on Table 3 of Schedule I of the current Feeds Regulations, which lists the required guarantees for each feed type. The new proposed Tables of Nutrient Guarantees and Conditions for Feed Labels contains 2 tables.
