Animal health industry stakeholder groups

We are pleased to announce that, effective immediately, the Veterinary Biologics Section (VBS) of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will be known as the Canadian Centre for Veterinary Biologics (CCVB). It is hoped that the new name will better reflect our functions and liaisons with our international regulatory counterparts.

Please note that there is no change in our personnel, location within the CFIA organizational chart, mailing address, telephone numbers, email addresses, or regulatory responsibilities.

In the upcoming months, we will gradually begin replacing the name on all documents, websites, licences, permits, export certificates, forms, etc. We would appreciate if the new name could be incorporated into future correspondence; however, previously prepared forms and documents will continue to be acceptable to allow time for this transition.

Correspondence should be addressed as follows:

Canadian Centre for Veterinary Biologics
