Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEPH13235' originated from a hybrid cross conducted by the breeder, in Latina, Italy, in July 2009. The cross was made between the female parent, 'PH-2008-0221' and the male parent, 'PH-2009-0893'. From the resultant progeny, seedlings were selected in April 2010 and further evaluated in greenhouse trials from October 2010 and April 2013 in Latina, Italy. 'KLEPH13235' was selected based on its plant growth habit, flower colour and quality, leaf quality and cold tolerance. A single seedling was selected for commercialization and named 'KLEPH13235' in April 2013 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEPH13235' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2014/0337, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany, in 2015. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
