Origin & Breeding History: 'G13340' was bred and developed by the breeder, Richard A. Grazzini, of GardenGenetics LLC, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA. It originated from a controlled cross conducted in October 2012, between the proprietary breeding line designated '23636-2', as the female parent, and the proprietary breeding line designated '23639-5', as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, 'G13340' was selected in September 2013 for its plant growth habit, flower number, flower colour, flower size, and ability to flower continuously. 'G13340' was first propagated asexually by vegetative cutting in November 2013, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'G13340' was conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2017, at BioFlora Inc., in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included 20 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings that were transplanted into 15 cm pots on April 18, 2017. The observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants or 10 parts of plants of each variety on June 6, 2017. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
