Summary: The plants of 'Maggino' are of medium height while those of 'Golden sweet' are medium to tall. The upper side of the leaf of 'Maggino' is lighter green than that of 'Golden sweet'. The length to diameter ratio of the fruit of 'Maggino' is smaller than that of 'Golden sweet'. The fruit of 'Maggino' is lighter yellow than that of 'Golden sweet'.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Maggino' (breeder's reference 72-195 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted between two proprietary lines in March 2014 in De Lier, Netherlands. 'Maggino' was selected in June 2015 for its regular fruit shape, yellow fruit colour, and taste.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Maggino' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMT3076, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2017 to 2018.
