Labelling, marking and packaging requirements
The exporter and importer are responsible for ensuring that the expiry date is put on all frozen product shipments destined for Haiti.
The exporter must check with importer if there are any additional requirements for export of Canadian meat products.
Documentation requirements
Certificate
Certificate of Inspection Covering Meat Products (CFIA/ACIA 1454)
In the case of pork and boar meat the following statements should be printed on form CFIA/ACIA 1454:
"Canada is free of African swine fever, hog cholera, foot and mouth disease, swine vesicular disease and swine brucellosis."
"The hogs and boars were inspected before and after slaughtering and packed in facilities approved for export."
