Directive D-03-09 describes the import requirements intended to prevent the introduction of the quarantine plant pest Ralstonia solanacearum, race 3 (biovar 2) into Canada.
The directive is currently under review to update certain requirements. Once the review is completed, including consultations with stakeholders, the directive will be updated and a new version will be posted to the CFIA's website.
In the meantime, the import requirements in the current version of directive D-03-09 (1st revision, dated September 11, 2003) remain in effect. However, certain administrative details such as names of organizations, contacts, references to other documents, etc. may be out of date. These will be updated at the time of the next revision. Please contact the CFIA for any questions or further information.
