Quebec - Areas Subject to Movement Restrictions

To control the spread of Potato Cyst Nematode (PCN) in Quebec, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) enforces stringent movement restrictions for plants, soil and farm equipment within regulated areas. Currently, the principal regulated area includes the municipality of Saint-Amable and portions of the municipalities of Sainte-Julie, Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu and Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil.

Satellite sites owned by farmers that have land within the principal regulated area are subject to similar movement restrictions.

Detailed maps of the regulated area are included in the Ministerial Order.
