Elm zigzag sawfly – Aproceros leucopoda Takeuchi

Native to Asia, Aproceros leucopoda Takeuchi, the elm zigzag sawfly, is an invasive leaf eater causing defoliation that can attack elm hosts at any age or stage of development. The CFIA has confirmed its presence in the province of Quebec. This is the first established population of this pest in North America.
