Service Standard for Serial Release

The Canadian Centre for Veterinary Biologics (CCVB) reviews the veterinary biologics manufacturer's test report documentation for serials or batches of veterinary biologics sold or distributed in Canada. The CCVB may require testing of serials by a laboratory acceptable to CCVB.

Performance Target

If samples are not tested, the target for achieving this standard is set at 10 business days.

If samples are tested, the target for achieving this standard is to be determined at the time of submission of serial for testing.

Performance Results

In 2016-17:

For serials not requiring testing, Canadian Centre for Veterinary Biologics processed 100% of the 265 test report documentation within the service standard.

For serials requiring testing, Canadian Centre for Veterinary Biologics processed 100% of the 4 test report documentation within the target determined at the time of serial submission.

In 2015-16:

For serials not requiring testing, CCVB processed 99% of the 275 test report documentation within the service standard.

For serials requiring testing, CCVB processed 100% of the six test report documentation within the target determined at the time of serial submission.

In 2014-15:

For serials not requiring testing, CCVB processed 97% of the 217 test report documentation within the service standard.

For serials requiring testing, CCVB processed 100% of the four test report documentation within the target determined at the time of serial submission.

In 2013-14:

For serials not requiring testing, CCVB processed 92% of the test report documentation within the service standard.

For serials requiring testing, CCVB processed 100% of the test report documentation within the target determined at the time of serial submission.
